Robert Breutzmann

Software Developer | B.S. Software Development, Bellevue University

I build structured, maintainable software with a focus on object-oriented design, database integration, and full-stack web development.

Academic projects and independent work demonstrate practical implementation, clean architecture, and disciplined version control.

Currently working in warehouse operations with a focus on inventory control and quality assurance, and a recent Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bellevue University's Software Development program.

About Me

I Just finished my Bachelors Degree in Software Development and am ready and eager to get into the field! I have a passion for SQL and front-end work, but I also have a knack for seeing where the connectors are and how they work.

My coursework and side projects focus on real-world implementation, structured problem-solving, and scalable code design.

Coursework has covered Python, Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, along with secure software development, DevOps, server-side development with Jakarta EE, and a team-based capstone that took the Moffat Bay Marina booking site from requirements to a live deployment.

Featured Projects

Moffat Bay Marina Complete

CSD 460 Capstone Team Project

A customer-facing booking website for a fictional marina on Joviedsa Island in Washington's San Juan Islands, built as a team capstone project. Visitors can browse the marina, register an account, sign in, and reserve one of 72 slips across three docks. Built with Jakarta EE, JSP, and MySQL using Agile/Scrum methodology with multi-environment deployment, and deployed as a live demo on Azure App Service with Azure Database for MySQL.

Technologies Used

Java JSP MySQL Azure Git

Java, Jakarta EE, JSP, JSTL, MySQL, Maven, Apache Tomcat, Azure App Service, Git

ScribeIQ Complete

Side Project

A private, on-device call recorder and transcriber for macOS. Record a call from Zoom, Teams, a browser, or any other app and get a speaker-labeled transcript with no cloud services and no audio leaving the machine. A native Swift helper records the microphone and the call as two separate, synced tracks, so it always knows which words are yours; Whisper transcribes each track on Apple Silicon, and pyannote separates speakers on group calls. A React interface talks to a local FastAPI server over REST and a WebSocket for live level meters, timers, and job progress.

PalletIQ WIP

Side Project

A full-stack warehouse operations app covering the operational middle layer that most WMS projects skip: Pull, Put, Pallet and Location ID lookups, and a visual Empty Locations map. Built from 20 years of warehouse experience and designed around how the floor actually works — no blocking pop-ups, every pallet and location ID a tappable link, numeric-first input for hands-free scanning, and a four-tier role hierarchy with field-level permission gating.

Family Passport Map LIVE · IMPROVING v2.3.0

Side Project

A family-friendly web app for tracking which places you and your family have visited: all 50 US states on an interactive US map, and 195 countries on a world map you explore one continent at a time. Each family member gets their own color and profile picture, with visits tracked independently, "n/50 states" and "n/195 countries" counters, a side-by-side Compare view, and a List view showing who has been where. Microsoft sign-in keeps each account's People and photos private. Installable as a PWA on phone, tablet, and desktop.

Live on Azure App Service. Next up: Link and Join, so families can share and manage People together.
